Hello. I'mMiguel

Product Designer, made in Madrid, now working from Warsaw.

Seven years designing digital products, from a small mobility startup in Madrid to e-commerce at Ocado's scale. Before any of it there were videogames: worlds with rules you could learn, systems you could master. The lore below has the full story.

Madrid · the early days

Ever since I was a kid, I was always curious about how things worked and why. At an early age I started drawing and trying to create. Without being conscious, I was already designing: I would think about things so that they worked the way I wanted them to in my mind, and if I didn't succeed, I could spend entire afternoons until I got it right.

Most of those afternoons, the things in question were videogames. Fantasy worlds with rules you could learn, systems you could master. I never really left them.

And then I learned design existed as a job, and something went DING!

    Tribbu

UX Designer · Sustainable mobility startup · then Hoop Carpool

The only designer, and the brief was the whole product: from ideation to launch, then the foundations the team kept building on afterwards. User flows, the UI, and the Figma component library. User testing on the key flows set the next quarter's roadmap.

    Ocado Technology

Product Designer · E-commerce at scale

Five core commerce flows on the Ocado Smart Platform: subscriptions, checkout, payments, cart and delivery addresses, shipped on iOS, Android and web across a multi-tenant platform nine grocery retailers license, Morrisons, Auchan and ICA among them. I built the cross-product Figma design system a thirty person UX department now works in, and tested every sprint with rotating squads of five to seven engineers.

Off the clock

Off the clock it's worlds, strings, sweat and new words.

01Videogames

Still the home turf. The lore above is not a metaphor.

02Guitar

Nylon strings and no amplifier. Electric is new.

03Gym and martial arts

The only one on this list with no screen in it.

04Polish

Warsaw is teaching me; I'm a slow but stubborn student.
